Making chocolate treats with Year 6

Had a great day yesterday making chocolate creations with Year 6 from Nields Primary in Slaithwaite. Kim & Russ from Shabang hosted a party at The Watershed for their son Ruben's birthday and to thank his year group for all their support over the years as they head off to new schools. The children's creativity and ingenuity were amazing to watch and a great time was had by all. Thanks to Janet for sterling work on the washing up front! Photos to follow soon.

Nigella in Chocolate

I have just watched Nigella make a fantastic winter berry and lemon cheese cake which is easy and quick. I am already thinking about creating a chocolate version which if I am right will be absolute food sex. I will try it and make the recipe available in my blog if it turns up trumps.

HALLOWEEN IS less than 2 days away and on my visit to the supermarket this evening I passed display after display of boxed chocolate on sticks in the shape of vampires and spiders all wrapped in colourful foil Costing £1 each, frighteningly expensive! So I am going to create my own version of a halloween chocolate lolly and mine will be cheaper, far more fun and dead quick! I will post the results on my personal blog, sleep tight.
